fogscreen tutorials

the fogscreen tutorials are coming into focus. some work was done today, but there is still much to do. we will have a full day tomorrow. here is a pic of marc working with the LEMMA before it's projected on the fogscreen.

dinner

i had dinner tonight with andrea lunsford, karen lunsford, chuck bazerman, paul rogers and alison brown. andrea is in town working with karen on their error study research. the big read is tomorrow. unfortunately, i won't be there because i'll be spending all my time working on the fogscreen tutorial in order for it to be ready for the first week of february. the beachside cafe is the first restaurant i've found in santa barbara with a decent steak. thank goodness i've found one.

maple turns into lemma

it turns out that maple is a software program used for math. the name of the research project has now changed to lemma -- learning environment with multi-media augmentation. it's moving along nicely and marc has been putting in an extreme amount of hours on the program. it will pay off.

computers and writing

I sent my proposal off to Computers and Writing Friday. It's at TTU this year. It's true; if the proposal is accepted I'll be back at my alma mater in May.
